Do I need a traffic control plan for a lane closure or event in Austin?

Almost always, yes. The City of Austin requires an approved traffic control plan (TCP) for right-of-way and lane-closure permits, and TxDOT work has its own standards. GBC prepares TxDOT-compliant, City-ready traffic control plans as part of the job, so your permit goes through and the setup matches the plan on site.

How much does traffic control cost in Austin?

It depends on the job — how many lanes, how many hours, how long it runs, and which devices and crew size it needs. A short daytime single-lane closure is very different from an overnight multi-street event road closure. Tell us the scope and we'll give you a clear quote fast — usually same day. There's no charge to get one.

How fast can you get a crew or equipment on site?

We're built to be responsive — same-week is common and we handle urgent and next-day requests regularly. If you have an active job or a date coming up, call (512) 789-2886 and we'll tell you exactly what we can do.

Can I rent barricades and equipment without a crew?

Yes. We rent traffic control equipment on its own — barricades, arrow boards, message boards, cones, water-filled barriers, and TMAs — delivered, maintained, and picked up. If you'd rather we run the whole setup, we do that too, crew included.

Are your flaggers certified?

Yes. Our flagging crews are trained and certified, and we run every setup to keep drivers, pedestrians, and the work zone safe. GBC is a City of Austin–certified contractor with TxDOT lane-closure experience.
